CopyTrader is needed by a trader who already has their own trades and audience. The goal is not to choose someone else's rating. The goal is to connect your own account and hand over copying within a controlled environment.

Before launching, check the platform, market, and ensure that it is indeed your trades that will be copied, not someone else's set.

What needs to be ready

You need a trading account to which you have access yourself, and an audience to whom you want to give copying. If there are no trades yet, start first with strategy and execution, not copying.

Issue API keys with only the permissions needed for copying. Do not give extra access.

How to connect an account

In CopyTrader, connect the platform via keys, specify what is being copied, and check that signals come from your account. It's better to verify the market pairs on a specific exchange before giving others access.

What gets copied and what does not

Trades within the selected mode and market are copied. Size, leverage, and stops may differ for the subscriber. This is not a promise of the same result as on your account.

Check Why
Your own keys your account is being copied
Market and mode spot or futures, how you trade
Key permissions only necessary access
Test run signal reaches the copy

Risk and discrepancies

Even with the same entries, exits, commissions, and slippage may differ. Before inviting your audience, review the reconciliation: what left your account and what arrived at the copy.

When it is still too early

If the strategy exists only in backtesting, there is nothing to copy. Start with history replay and clear execution. For strategy development, see XTester. When trades are already running, copying is configured here: CopyTrader.
